I guess your idea of 'expert' and mine are very different. I was trying to be very careful and follow exactly, but had to guess at the very first instruction. I saw that I had a MBR petition but did not know which method to use of the 2. Windows 7 or Windows 8.
I picked Windows 7, for one thing it didn't look as complicated and quite frankly I can't remember if I ever had windows 8.
After that all was well until it came to this instruction: icacls . /grant <username you got from whoami>:F /t
I entered this a dozen times and failed. When I did the whoami, my answer was: name-pc/name.

Oct 21, 2016 After upgrading Windows 10 1511 to Anniversary (1607) our IP phone driver SIPTAPI has lost its configuration. Attempting to reconfigure it seems to accept the data but get lost again.
I tried using the entire phrase, if you will, then only the first part, then only the last part. I put a space after grant but not before :F.
The only other thing I could figure was maybe I needed to enter ^(that's the closest I have to the greater than and less than symbols) so if those are required, I can't do it.
So now I wonder if I have screwed up my computer, how critical is update 1703 and will Microsoft refigure it to be easier to install.
I will not go to the end of your instructions to try to get my computer back to where it was.
Thanks for your work, I am sorry I couldn't get it to work.

I have used this software before in Windows 7 without any issue but since upgrading to Windows 10 it has stopped working.
